first of all, i don't want to sound like an
*hole and convert people to anti-charity thinking and all the stuff like that, they all are doing a great job for the good cause, but... sometimes those street fundraisers are
soo annoying! i used to work as a fundraiser for a few weeks, and was terrified when found out that most of the people working there don't even know what are they signing people up for! some of them don't care about helping poor, or treating diseases or anything except of how much commission are they going to get.
shocking!.
so when these people are coming up to you and are asking to spare a minute to help someone (they actually mean 10-15 minutes to sign you up for a monthly donation) you don't want to be rude and kill this nice and caring, always fake-smiling person's confidence. this is why i am giving you
some of the phrases to nicely avoid fundraisers:
